SPLASHERS! Swim Academy

Swim Academy is the continuation of the SPLASHERS! Learn to Swim program. These levels aim to improve the technique and fitness of the swimmer as they aim to prepare the students for our competitive squad programs.

Lessons at Swim Academy are aligned with the pricing and the term-based calendar of the SPLASHERS! Learn to Swim program.

2026 Swim School Terms Dates

Start: Tuesday 27 January 2026

Finish: Thursday 2 April 2026

How to Book

1. Contact us for a free swim assessment

Our friendly customer service staff can conduct a verbal assessment on 02 8536 9777 or you can come into the centre to receive a free swim assessment.

2. Complete and Submit

Complete the Learn to Swim Agreement form and Direct Debit form. Both forms need to be filled out and submitted before your enrolment is complete.

3. Confirmation

Once your forms have been processed, we find a suitable class for your child, you are now a member of SPLASHERS! Development Squad

SPLASHERS! Swim Academy Levels

Sharks

Children progress further in the learn-to-swim program increasing stamina and fitness. Freestyle and backstroke stroke technique are taught. The breaststroke kick is introduced.

Frogs

Freestyle and backstroke skills are improved, and distances increased. Stamina and fitness levels are increased with the introduction of the complete breaststroke. The butterfly kick is introduced.

Dolphins

Butterfly is taught as a complete stroke. Swim distances are up to two kilometres in an hour with an emphasis on stroke technique. Programs for this class have set times and aerobic levels.

Swordfish

This level is for the Dolphins with stronger swimming stamina and is designed to increase endurance.

Marlins

This program is for teenagers who want to improve their fitness level for water polo, triathlon racing, surfing, lifesaving competition and general swimming. Cross training is incorporated into this class with an emphasis on endurance and stamina improvement.

Teen and Adult Learn to Swim

Classes are available to teens and adults who want to learn to swim, improve fitness and progress to learn all swimming strokes. Classes provide a social and friendly learning environment and cater to all levels of ability and confidence.
