Join our Run Club and get ready for the upcoming Sutherland 2 Surf event! Bring your energy, enthusiasm and a friend or two! Let's reach our fitness goals together!
Join us every Saturday morning for a refreshing group run as part of our training program for the Sutherland 2 Surf event. Each week, we explore different routes and distances, ensuring a new and exciting experience every time. Whether you're a seasoned runner or just looking to get active, this event is perfect for all fitness levels.
All run club members get a FREE Run Club hat, which you will receive at your first session.
Meeting Place: Sutherland Leisure Centre
Date & Time: Every Saturday, 6:30 AM (arrive by 6:15 AM)
Weekly Route & Distance:
Week 1: Leisure Centre → Rawson Ave → Waratah Park → Loop around the sports field paths → Return (4 km)
Week 2: Leisure Centre → Rawson Ave → President Ave Cycle Path → Return (5 km)
Week 3: Leisure Centre → Loftus Oval → Fire trail entrance near corner of Farnell Ave and Loftus Oval → Run along tramlines towards Audley → Return (6 km)
Week 4: Leisure Centre → Rawson Ave → The Grand Parade → Cross Woronora Bridge → Prices Circuit → back over bridge → Return (7 km)
Week 5: Leisure Centre → Loftus Oval → Rawson Parade Trail → Florence Parade Trail → Grays Point Turnaround Point → Return (8 km)
Week 6: Leisure Centre → Acacia Rd → President Ave → Kirrawee → Oak Rd → Flora St → Eton Street → Return (6-7 km)
Week 7: Leisure Centre → The Grand Parade → Woronora Bridge → Left on Prince Edward Park Rd → Follow fire trail down to river's edge → Riverside Track → Return (9 km)
Week 8: Leisure Centre → Lotus Oval → Rawson Parade Trail → Florence Parade Trail → Grays Point → Temptation Creek Trail → Florence Parade Trail → Return (10 km)
Week 9: Leisure Centre → Acacia Rd → President Ave → Kirrawee → Oak Rd → Flora St → Eton St → Return (6-7 km)
Week 10: No Saturday group run - rest up for the Sutherland 2 Surf event!
Important Note: Please arrive at 6:15 AM to ensure we can leave promptly at 6:30 AM.
